Ben was the grandfather of Jonathon Fishman, the founder of Ben's Ranch. Born in 1894 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Ben served as a medic and World War I in France, never far from the front. He came home after the war to discover that his older brother, Joseph, who was afflicted with tuberculosis, had gone out West to Colorado Springs.
|
Ben headed out to join him. Joe passed away four months later, but Ben stayed in Colorado, joined a cattle company and became a cowboy - no easy task for a young man who had never ridden a horse. He quickly learned how to ride horses, brand calves and herd steer. It was one of the happiest times in Ben's life; living the life of a cowboy on a ranch in Colorado.

Being a cowboy in the early 1920s, working on the frontier of the American West, one had to embody a pioneering spirit. At Ben's Ranch, we too are pioneering; creating a new service offering called Home and Personal IT. As a tribute to Ben and his zeal for the West, we named the company after him.
